Whether you’re a returning Superior traveler or are considering booking one of the best event travel packages we offer, our team will be here to support you throughout your travels, so let’s get to know them!

Andy Fitzsimons, Vice President

What is your favorite Superior event?

This is a hard pick, but if I had to pick one, I would pick the Kentucky Derby. Everyone is dressed to impress, placing bets, and what a rush it is when those horses come down the final stretch!

What is your favorite thing about your job at Superior?

Building relationships with very successful individuals and companies in all different types of industries.

What’s one event you think everyone should try to attend at least once in their lifetime?

The Masters. It’s breathtaking walking on the sacred grounds of Augusta National. There isn’t one thing on the course out of place, and the roars during the tournament make your hair stand up. It’s incredible. I have had multiple non-golfers tell me that it was the most amazing experience they have ever had. Definitely an event everyone should experience once in their life, even if you are not a golfer.

What’s your best piece of travel advice?

Work with someone that knows you by name and not by your booking number. There is nothing more frustrating than not being able to talk to one point of contact to answer all your questions.

Describe a Superior travel experience in one word.

Turnkey.

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

Outside of work, I enjoy spending my free time with my wife and three kids. We are a big sports family, so the majority of our free time is spent traveling to basketball tournaments, baseball games, and volleyball games. We also enjoy spending time with friends and family golfing, taking Jeep rides, and working on our small family farm with our beef cows.

Riley Fitzsimons, Director of Sports Entertainment & Experiences

What is your favorite Superior event?

Kentucky Derby with the Waste Management Phoenix Open a close second.

What is your favorite thing about your job at Superior?

Meeting new people and helping them create a memorable experience.

What’s one event you think everyone should try to attend at least once in their lifetime?

The Kentucky Derby. The atmosphere is incredible, and it’s such a fun experience with family, friends, or customers.

What’s your best piece of travel advice?

Book early. You’ll have much better options to choose from, be that ticket options, restaurant selections, add-on excursions, and more.

Describe a Superior travel experience in one word.

EPIC!

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

Coaching our high school basketball team, hanging out with family and friends and taking our dog on UTV rides in the country.

Nick Sauser, Vice President

What is your favorite Superior event?

My personal favorite is the Kentucky Derby followed closely by The Masters. You can’t go wrong with either one; they’re the best.

What is your favorite thing about your job at Superior?

The people I work with and the guests we interact with on a daily basis. Also, meeting our guests in person. We’ve seen many guests at multiple events for many years, and it’s always great seeing those people again.

What’s one event you think everyone should try to attend at least once in their lifetime?

The Masters. Augusta National stands alone.

What’s your best piece of travel advice?

Ask questions. Even if you think you know, just ask. Our job is to answer questions and have these events run as seamlessly as possible. You’re at these events to entertain clients, friends, etc… let us handle everything, and sit back and enjoy the event.

Describe a Superior travel experience in one word.

Authentic. Yes, the hospitality, tickets, and accommodations will be spectacular, but you will also meet our staff in person at many of the events. For me personally, the best part is meeting our guests in person and connecting with them there.

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

When I’m not working, most of my time is spent on my kid’s events. Whether it’s coaching softball, tee ball, going to swim meets, basketball, etc… my wife and I are on the go attending or coaching youth sports. It’s busy, but I wouldn’t change it for anything.

Check out these seriously cool travel packages!

  1. Austrian Health & Wellness
  2. Italy Bike Trip
  3. WI Golf Swing
  4. Aspen Food & Wine Classic

Keep reading to learn more about these summer travel destinations and how Superior can help you escape the heat with one of our luxury travel packages!

Austrian Health & Wellness

Austria has so much more to offer than just its world-class skiing. A short 40-minute drive from Innsbruck, our partner resorts, the Alpenrose Resort and the Sport Residenz Zillertal, boast amenities fit for a king, such as sea-to-table cuisine, mountain bike and e-bike rental, palatial pools for relaxing or swimming laps, and a luxurious spa and fitness facility.

Unlike ski destinations in the U.S., the summer months still offer excellent skiing in certain parts of Europe. The Hintertux and Stubai Glacier enjoy ideal ski conditions in the summer months. If golfing is your passion, you will not be disappointed with the championship course with a driving range and putting green! As far as unforgettable summer travel destinations go, this one may be at the top of the list.

Italy Bike Trip

Exploring a new country is an experience in itself, but doing so on a bike makes the experience that much more of a dream. In the northernmost part of Italy, about three hours from Milan is Bormio, known for its famous cycling passes, including the famed Passo di Stelvio. You don’t need to be training for the Tour de France to enjoy Bormio’s biking; your guide can customize your trip to make it an unforgettable experience for all levels. After a long day of pedaling, the pizza, pasta and wine are an excellent reward. You can also soak your sore muscles in Bormio’s original Roman Baths.

Wisconsin Golf Swing

Wisconsin may be arctic in the winter, but the summers are typically fairly mild — especially in the mornings if you enjoy starting your day with a round of golf! Our WI Golf Swing package is one of our most customizable options and offers the chance to design a trip that’s to your exact specifications. The package includes your choice of luxury hospitality, fine dining, rounds of golf, add-on excursions, and transportation.

After a long day of hitting the links, treat yourself to some rest and relaxation at the renowned Kohler Waters Spa, just a short drive from the golf courses featured in the package. If you’re looking to unwind with a refreshing beverage, we can also add a distillery or brewery tour to your itinerary!

Aspen Food & Wine Classic

A trip that revolves almost entirely around food and wine? Yes, please! For foodies and oenophiles, the Aspen Food & Wine Classic is not to be missed. Three days of panel discussions, tastings, and cooking demonstrations with world-famous food and wine experts with beautiful Aspen as your backdrop is almost too perfect to imagine and is one of our favorite summer travel destinations.

3 Things Customers Love the Most About Our Event Travel Packages

Discover the Superior difference today!

When it comes to planning a one-of-a-kind trip, you have a lot of options. So, what makes Superior Executive Services’ event travel packages stand head and shoulders above the rest?

It boils down to a few key areas of excellence — experience, personal treatment, and attention to detail. All of these combined make our team and our service truly superior. We have a number of repeat clients who have been traveling with us for years — here’s what they value most about our event travel packages.

  1. Experience
  2. Personal treatment
  3. Attention to detail

Read on to learn more about why so many return customers book our event travel packages and hear directly from them why there’s nothing like a Superior experience!

Experience

The Superior team has nearly five decades of combined experience in hospitality, travel, and event planning. We’ve had many opportunities to understand what can take a trip from good to amazing. We’ve also developed countless relationships in the industry and can call on these connections to secure tickets and invitations to in-demand events and VIP receptions.

Having planned thousands of individual trips to some of the world’s top sporting, music, and culinary events, we’re familiar with the hotel and lodging options, great restaurants, and local attractions of each destination. Our repeat clients appreciate our insider knowledge and guidance about where to stay and what to do.

“There’s no way I could plan and execute some of the events the way Superior is able to do it for me. Number one, I couldn’t get access to some of them without Superiors’ connections and influence in the industry,” one of our customers told us in a testimonial. “Again, all I have to do is just show up — I’m not running around working through logistics, signing legal documents, worrying about plans or details. They take care of all that for me, so it just makes it so much smoother.”

Personal treatment

We’ll never ask you to call an 800 number and sit on hold, waiting to talk to a nameless, faceless customer service representative. You and your group will have a designated team member who will be your point of contact throughout the planning process as well as during and after the trip.

We do our best to anticipate any potential issues, but should anything happen, you’ll have our team’s direct contact number to reach, day or night. In many cases, we’ll also have a team onsite to handle all logistics, from picking up your tickets to making sure you get to where you need to go on time.

“I was particularly impressed that Superior has a dedicated office that made it really easy to contact the onsite team to deal with any requests we had,” one previous Masters Tournament traveler said. “I was surprised to learn that they had hundreds of people attending the Masters this year. We had so much attention that it felt like our group were the only ones there!”

We also aim to provide personal touches wherever we can — your favorite snacks in your luxury box suite, a tee time at a world-famous golf course, or a bottle of champagne waiting upon arrival at your private home rental. Our Superior team will always go the extra mile for your event travel packages!

Attention to detail

The vital components of trip planning are fairly obvious — booking flights, arranging hotels and ground transportation, making dinner reservations, etc. Where Superior especially exceeds expectations is in the “little things.”

We can offer outings and activities to add to your trip as part of a larger event. For instance, say you’re traveling with us to Las Vegas for next year’s Super Bowl, but you’re also hoping to golf a few rounds or others in your group are eager to see their favorite artist’s Vegas residency. Just say the word, and we can make it happen!

In the words of one of our previous customers, “the tough part was finding enough time to enjoy all the amenities… and everything Superior had to offer!”

Our food & wine festival packages include opportunities to buy your own wine, so be sure to leave room in your bag!

What to Pack for Our Food & Wine Festival Packages

Get ready for Aspen and more with these suggestions!

Aspen may be most famous as a winter skiing destination, but it’s equally as beautiful in the summertime as well — especially if you’re headed to a high-profile event like the Aspen Food & Wine Classic. Whether you’re traveling with us to Aspen or have booked another one of our food and wine festival packages, you’ll want to be sure you’re packing all of the essentials to have a fantastic (and indulgent!) time.

Here are a few must-bring items if you’re planning a trip to this year’s Aspen Food & Wine Classic, or any other Superior food and wine festival packages:

Extra layers

While the mountain air can be refreshing, it can get quite chilly in the evening at the higher elevation — Aspen’s altitude is roughly 8,000 feet above sea level. No need to bring a parka, but a few sweaters and a light, easily packable jacket should be more than sufficient.

The same advice applies to California, the site of the Catalina Wine Mixer and our custom Napa Valley wine experiences. While you may think of sunny, warm beaches when you think of California, both Napa and Catalina Island can get chilly on occasion so bring a few warm pieces to make sure you stay comfortable after the sun goes down!

Medications

Of course, it’s vital to bring any prescribed medications you may need. But don’t forget your over-the-counter medicines for dietary-related issues just in case, like Tums, Pepto-Bismol, Lactaid, etc. You’ll no doubt be trying lots of new and different foods, and you’d hate for a sour stomach to sour any part of your culinary adventure!

Sunscreen

Be sure and pack sunscreen, especially if you’re headed to Aspen as the sun tends to be stronger in higher altitudes. Likewise, the altitude and sun (and the wine) can cause dehydration, so make sure you’re drinking plenty of water throughout the day!

Bag/purse

Bring an easy-to-carry purse or bag, so you can be hands-free and enjoy the food and drink without juggling your phone, wallet, etc. A small/medium canvas tote or a crossbody purse are great options and won’t take up too much space in your suitcase.

Comfortable shoes

You’ll likely be on your feet for much of the day, so choose a pair of shoes that are comfortable and provide excellent arch support. Between seminars, tours, tastings, meet and greets, and discussions, you don’t want blisters or stiff shoes slowing you down!

Leave room for souvenirs!

With an event like the Aspen Food & Wine Classic or a trip to Napa, you can bring home memories and Malbecs. So make sure you don’t overpack, as you’ll want to leave room to take home gourmet finds or fine wines. If needed, you can also ship home any items that can’t be safely transported in your luggage.

Above all, bring your appetite for exciting new food and beverages. Let the experts at Superior Executive Services help you plan an amazing time with one of our food and wine festival packages. Contact us today at 608.665.9070 or send us a message online to get started!

  3. Wisconsin Golf Swing
  4. Napa Valley
  5. Concours d’Elegance
  6. Belmont Stakes

Keep reading to learn more about these memorable road trip destinations!

CMA Fest

Pack your cowboy boots and leave your cares at home; this year’s CMA Fest features all of the biggest stars in country music, including Luke Combs, Keith Urban, Eric Church and many more! Fittingly held in Music City (aka Nashville), CMA Fest is a celebration of all things honky tonk.

Carolina Country Music Festival

If you love country music, but you’re looking for more of a beachy vibe, then the Carolina Country Music Festival is your jam. On beautiful Myrtle Beach, you’ll hear country acts like Morgan Wallen, Miranda Lambert, Travis Tritt, and more! You can work on your summer tan while singing along with your favorite country musicians.

Wisconsin Golf Swing

Some of the best golf courses in the world are located right in the heart of the Midwest, including Erin Hills, Sand Valley, and Whistling Straights, home of the 2021 Ryder Cup. Our Wisconsin Golf Swing Experience packages include your choice of luxury hospitality, fine dining, rounds of golf, transportation, and countless add-on excursions.

After a long day of hitting the links, you can even treat yourself to some rest and relaxation at the renowned Kohler Waters Spa, just a short drive from the golf courses featured in the package. That’s one of our favorite luxury road trip destinations if you’re in or around the Midwest!

Napa Valley

California Wine Country in the summer is pure magic. With its temperate climate and picturesque hillsides, there’s no better place to enjoy wine tasting with friends. Napa Valley packages are one of our newer offerings, and we’re excited to plan truly one-of-a-kind luxury wine travel packages for our clients. If you’re interested in creating a winery travel package with luxury road trip destinations throughout Napa, reach out to our team!

Concours d’Elegance

Just a two and a half hour drive from Napa in Pebble Beach is the annual Concours d’Elegance which is, as its name suggests, among the most elegant celebrations of fine automobiles in the world. Each summer, the well-heeled — and the “well-wheeled” — gather in Pebble Beach to view vintage automobiles that have been lovingly and extensively restored by their owners in the hopes of taking home a trophy. If you have a classic car of your own, there’s no better luxury road trip destination than this!

Belmont Stakes

The oldest and final event in the Triple Crown, Belmont Stakes has served as one of the premier events in horse racing since 1867. See the excitement — and perhaps a new Triple Crown winner — for yourself at this year’s event. You can easily make a Belmont Stakes trip, which is held at Belmont Park on Long Island, into a fun summer weekend in the Big Apple!

Whichever of these luxury road trip destinations you’re hoping to travel to this summer, let the experts at Superior Executive Services help plan an unforgettable trip. Contact us today at 608.665.9070 or send us a message online to start planning!

Our CMA Fest packages include everything you need to have an unforgettable time, but it’s never a bad idea to pack a few extra things just in case.

What to Pack for our CMA Fest Packages

Here’s what to bring for a rocking good time!

The days are getting longer, and warmer weather is on the horizon. The best way to kick off summer is with the CMA Fest in Nashville! CMA Fest is the only place you can find Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, Dan + Shay, and many more country music stars performing this summer. Read on for what to bring for this year’s CMA Fest packages to ensure you’re ready to rock!

Sun protection (and, if needed, rain protection)

That Tennessee sun burns early and bright in June, and the festival is held almost entirely outside, so be sure to bring your sunglasses, sun hat, and plenty of sunscreen. Nothing ruins a vibe quite like a nasty sunburn on day one. Check the weather, too and if rain is in the forecast, pack a raincoat or poncho as well.

Phone (fully charged)

Seems like a no-brainer, but in 2023, our phones are our lifelines. Your tickets are likely on your phone, you’ll want to take plenty of photos and videos of the show, and you can link your credit and debit cards, so you don’t even need to bring your wallet. If space allows, you may also consider bringing an external phone charger to make sure you’re never disconnected!

A clear bag

Due to safety concerns, many large venues require that all bags and purses be clear and not exceed a specific size. According to the CMA Fest website, bags “must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and not exceed 12″ x 12″ x 6″. In addition to a clear bag, a small clutch bag or wallet 6.5″ x 4.5″ or smaller is allowed. Exceptions will be made for medically-necessary items.” Leave the guitar case at home and travel light!

Snacks

You won’t want to miss a minute of the acts at CMA Fest, and you certainly don’t want to wait in a long concession line for a hot dog. Pack a few granola bars and a bag of trail mix, so you’ll be fueled up for the long haul. Depending on which CMA Fest packages you’ve booked, you may have access to private hospitality with food and snacks available to you.

Cowboy gear

Attending a country music festival means you’ve got to dress the part, and you’ll fit right in with cowboy boots and a cowboy hat. We recommend breaking in the boots a few days ahead of time, so you’re not struggling with blisters and band-aids while hobbling to catch Keith Urban on the main stage.

Looking to rock out with your group at this year’s CMA Fest, or a future festival? Contact our team today to reserve one of our CMA Fest packages for a truly unforgettable experience!

3 Things to Know Before You Book a Summer Corporate Event Package

Make your summer corporate travel plans go smoothly with these tips!

Summer is a great time to plan corporate travel as schedules are not quite as tightly packed, business tends to be at least a little less hectic, and good weather helps mitigate many travel delays.

If you’re looking to plan an event travel experience for your team this summer, our team at Superior Executive Services is ready to help! We have years of experience helping corporate groups of every size experience some of the world’s most high-profile events in complete luxury.

Before we jump into planning, here are some things to know before you book a summer corporate event package:

  1. Plan ahead
  2. Consider the locale
  3. Don’t skimp on amenities

Keep reading to learn more about these tips for planning your summer corporate event package with Superior!

Plan ahead

As much as possible, try to plan ahead. Summer is a busy travel season and, ideally, we recommend organizing trips four to six months out, particularly for our more popular events such as the  PGA Championshipthe Kentucky Derby, and the Indy 500.

The more time we have to plan means you and your group will have greater access to ticket packages, VIP receptions, and more. You’ll also want to ask your travel companions about their schedules well in advance of the trip and try to work around any conflicts while allowing plenty of time for planning and booking.

Consider the locale

If you’re traveling with a larger group, we recommend choosing a destination that will have broad appeal, such as the Catalina Wine Mixer on beautiful Catalina Island, the Aspen Food & Wine Classic, or the CMA Fest in Nashville.

This year’s CMA Fest will feature Country Music stars like Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, and Miranda Lambert. Aspen is best known as a winter skiing destination, but Aspen in the summer is just as magical, with amazing hiking, whitewater rafting, and horseback riding. The 2023 Aspen Food & Wine Classic will feature dozens of famous foodies and chefs, including Bobby Flay, Guy Fieri, and Carla Hall. Choosing a location like Nashville, California, or Aspen for your summer corporate event will ensure there’s something for everyone!

Don’t skimp on amenities

The key to a truly luxurious summer corporate event package? The amenities! Our Superior team will cover all of your transportation and accommodations, so the only thing you need to worry about is kicking back and relaxing with your group. If there’s a particular amenity that your group really wants — say, a private home with a pool or a hotel with a spa or great fitness facilities — let us know, and we can make it happen.

Now is the time to plan your one-of-a-kind summer corporate event package for 2023! Let the experts at Superior Executive Services help you plan an amazing corporate travel experience that will wow employees and clients alike. Contact us today at 608.665.9070 or send us a message online to get started!

We can add these fun things to do at the Kentucky Derby to your custom Superior itinerary.

5 Things to Do at the Kentucky Derby

This event has so much more in store than just the races!

The Kentucky Derby is an event unlike any other and one our team at Superior Executive Services looks forward to most each year. For the first weekend in May, we can all become Southerners sipping on mint juleps and hoping our horse wins big.

There’s so much to enjoy beyond what’s referred to as “the most exciting two minutes in sports.” Here are a few can’t-miss things to do at the Kentucky Derby:

  1. Thurby
  2. Derby kickoff concert
  3. People watching
  4. Food & drink
  5. Beyond the races

Keep reading for some of our favorite Derby events and Louisville sights!

Thurby

Thurby is held the Thursday before the Derby and has become a can’t-miss celebration of Kentucky’s culture, food, and racing. Thurby is a great way to see and explore Churchill Downs before the crowds arrive on Saturday — and you can also sharpen up your bets before the big day.

Derby kickoff concert

The 2023 Derby Kickoff Concert, also on Thursday, features hip-hop acts T.I., Trina, and Jeezy. The concert is held at Louisville’s famed Freedom Hall and is a terrific way to start the weekend’s festivities. It’s just another one of the fun things to do at the Kentucky Derby!

People watching

The fashion of Derby weekend is truly a sight to behold. Attendees don their finest seersucker suits and fascinators, but you’ll also see some avant-garde looks and far-from-traditional outfits. Keep your eyes peeled for celebrities, too — last year’s Derby welcomed Olympian Michael Phelps, rapper Jack Harlow, country music star Morgan Wallen, and many more.

Food & drink

The Derby features some of the Bluegrass State’s most outstanding cuisine and spirits. On Saturday, you can expect bountiful mint juleps, hot browns, and derby pie. If you’re a foodie, we also recommend tickets for Thursday’s Taste of Derby Culinary Experience. Chefs from all over the country create dishes new and old to delight the senses and pay homage to the Derby’s roots.

Beyond the races

Louisville is an incredible city to visit, so make sure you allow time for activities beyond Churchill Downs. The Louisville Slugger Museum and Muhammad Ali Center are great for sports fans. You can also brush up on your Derby history at the Kentucky Derby Museum. If kicking back and relaxing with a drink is more your speed, there is no shortage of world-class bourbon distillers just a short drive from downtown Louisville.

Whether you’re headed to the Derby with us this year, or are interested in booking a Kentucky Derby travel experience for next year, there are plenty of things to do at the Kentucky Derby!

The Superior team is ready to help you create a one-of-a-kind experience! Learn more about our Kentucky Derby packages here, and contact us today at 608.665.9070 or online to start planning your luxury Derby trip!

It may be Stress Awareness Month, but our luxury travel experiences are anything but stressful!

4 Ways Superior Makes Traveling a Stress-Free Experience

Sit back and relax while our team does the planning for you!

Under the best circumstances, travel is relaxing and rejuvenating — but under less-than-ideal circumstances, one planning mistake or unchecked departure time can snowball into a disastrous and frenzied travel experience.

But when you book with a group of seasoned industry professionals like Superior Executive Services, you can rest assured that our team will handle any issues. All you need to redo is sit back, relax, and enjoy your travel experience!

In honor of April being Stress Awareness Month, here are four of the ways our team makes luxury travel a completely stress-free experience:

  1. Travel logistics
  2. Accommodations
  3. Reservations & activities
  4. Dedicated trip planner

Keep reading to learn more about these ways the Superior team can make your travel stress a thing of the past!

Travel logistics

Once we get some basic information from you about your group, we will handle all aspects of your travel. From ground transportation and event tickets to your itinerary and any obstacles that pop up, we’ll handle it all.

The only thing you’ll need to worry about is packing your suitcase (and we can even provide some guidance there too)!

Accommodations

Whether it’s a five-star hotel or a luxury home rental, we can help find the perfect accommodations for your group. We can highlight the pros and cons of both options and which might be the right fit for you. In some cases, a home rental can actually be a more affordable option that also offers many of the same amenities as a home, such as a kitchen and laundry.

Or, if there’s a hotel at which you’re eager to stay, we can help secure a suite or connecting rooms. We put our industry connections and years of experience to use in selecting the finest hotels near our events so you’ll always stay in style.

Reservations & activities

As we’re talking about Stress Awareness Month, it can be easy to get overwhelmed trying to book activities and itineraries for different likes and dislikes within your group. We’ll take that stress away from you! Based on your preferences, we can create a customized itinerary — or multiple itineraries if there are others in your group who prefer different activities — to include meals and activities that you find most appealing. Even with difficult-to-get restaurant reservations or tickets to a popular event, we have years of industry experience and connections that we can draw on for a truly unique trip.

Dedicated trip planner

Anyone who has planned a trip knows that last-minute issues are always a possibility, but with Superior, you’ll work with a dedicated trip planner who will be your point of contact before, during, and after your trip should any issues arise. When you travel with our expert team, we’ll never ask you to call an 800 number and sit on hold while waiting for your no-show driver. We work diligently to ensure that any complication doesn’t get in the way of your ability to enjoy your trip to the fullest.
