What to Pack for our CMA Fest Packages

Here’s what to bring for a rocking good time!

The days are getting longer, and warmer weather is on the horizon. The best way to kick off summer is with the CMA Fest in Nashville! CMA Fest is the only place you can find Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, Dan + Shay, and many more country music stars performing this summer. Read on for what to bring for this year’s CMA Fest packages to ensure you’re ready to rock!

Sun protection (and, if needed, rain protection)

That Tennessee sun burns early and bright in June, and the festival is held almost entirely outside, so be sure to bring your sunglasses, sun hat, and plenty of sunscreen. Nothing ruins a vibe quite like a nasty sunburn on day one. Check the weather, too and if rain is in the forecast, pack a raincoat or poncho as well.

Phone (fully charged)

Seems like a no-brainer, but in 2023, our phones are our lifelines. Your tickets are likely on your phone, you’ll want to take plenty of photos and videos of the show, and you can link your credit and debit cards, so you don’t even need to bring your wallet. If space allows, you may also consider bringing an external phone charger to make sure you’re never disconnected!

A clear bag

Due to safety concerns, many large venues require that all bags and purses be clear and not exceed a specific size. According to the CMA Fest website, bags “must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and not exceed 12″ x 12″ x 6″. In addition to a clear bag, a small clutch bag or wallet 6.5″ x 4.5″ or smaller is allowed. Exceptions will be made for medically-necessary items.” Leave the guitar case at home and travel light!

Snacks

You won’t want to miss a minute of the acts at CMA Fest, and you certainly don’t want to wait in a long concession line for a hot dog. Pack a few granola bars and a bag of trail mix, so you’ll be fueled up for the long haul. Depending on which CMA Fest packages you’ve booked, you may have access to private hospitality with food and snacks available to you.

Cowboy gear

Attending a country music festival means you’ve got to dress the part, and you’ll fit right in with cowboy boots and a cowboy hat. We recommend breaking in the boots a few days ahead of time, so you’re not struggling with blisters and band-aids while hobbling to catch Keith Urban on the main stage.
