4th Street Live
The 4th Street Live concert kicks off Derby weekend the right way! Held on Thursday night, you’ll be listening to some of the top artists of the year play for the start of the festivities. You’ll be in the heart of downtown Louisville, where there are plenty of great restaurants, lively bars, and all kinds of fun to be had! If you want the VIP treatment, Superior has access to overhead balconies — no need to stand on the ground level with the masses!
With this exclusive overlook, you’ll have a prime view of the stage and artists, plenty of room to mix and mingle or sing along, and drinks available to you all night long. It’s our favorite way to kick off the start of a fantastic Derby weekend!
Kentucky Oaks
The Kentucky Oaks is essentially the pink Derby — what’s not to love? You’ll be able to get into the racing spirit by watching the fillies take on the Churchill Downs track on Friday. Make sure you wear your pink and try the Lilly Oaks drink — if you’re in a suite, your private bartender will mix one up for you in no time! If you’re on Millionaires Row, Stakes Row, or in the Terrace Club, there are full-service bars where all premium drinks are included.
There are a variety of seating options for your Kentucky Oaks experience, all with their own perks. Stakes Row has a prime view of the finish line, and you’ll be able to see the horses as they move around the entire track (yes, even the backstretch!).
Homestretch Club offers a great view closer to the track; the earth seems to move as the horses thunder by down to the finish line! Millionaires Row is on the first turn with excellent views of the track and the start of the race. No matter which seating option you pick, Superior is sure to have the best tickets available, so you’ll have a view (and pictures) to brag about.
Derby Day
What would a Kentucky Derby travel package be without Saturday’s Derby Day? This is the event that everyone waits all year for — the first jewel of the Triple Crown! You’ll be able to see all the races leading up to the Derby itself, where 20 horses race for history. The atmosphere is so electric as the fastest two minutes in sports fly by!
