2024 Kentucky Derby Luxury Accommodations Preview

Check out where our Derby travelers spend their time when not at Churchill Downs.

If you’re coming to Louisville for the Kentucky Derby, chances are you’ll want accommodations that are as swanky as the hottest ticket in horse racing. No matter what you’re looking for, Bourbon City has a variety of hotels to choose from, all within close proximity to the famed Churchill Downs.

Here are a few of the hotels we recommend in Louisville and include as options for 2024 Kentucky Derby luxury accommodations in our travel packages:

Galt House

Located in the heart of downtown Louisville, Galt House has welcomed visitors for over 50 years and is the city’s only hotel on the Ohio River. Those looking to sample Louisville’s local bourbon offers will enjoy the hotel’s new Jockey Silks Bourbon Bar. You’ll be wowed by the riverfront views, sizable guest rooms, numerous onsite dining options and more. Galt House is Louisville’s largest hotel, with over 1,300 rooms to choose from.

Omni Louisville

If what you seek are endless modern amenities and sophisticated elegance, then we have found your match at the Omni Louisville. Its rooftop pool is the perfect complement to the full-service Mokara spa, offering massages, facials and body treatments. The Omni is just a three-minute walk to the city’s popular 4th Street Live, featuring live music and other entertainment during the Kentucky Derby festivities. See if you can find the secret, hidden bar during your stay, too!

The Seelbach Hilton

Founded in 1905 by the Bavarian-born Louis and Otto Seelbach, the Seelbach Hotel has the distinct honor of being the oldest hotel in Louisville, as well as being featured on the Historic Hotels of America register. The Seelbach underwent a major renovation to update it in the 1970s while still retaining its historic charm and style. The marble stairway in the lobby and grand art-deco features reportedly inspired author F. Scott Fitzgerald as he wrote The Great Gatsby. If you’re looking for one-of-a-kind Kentucky Derby luxury accommodations, the Seelbach is it.
